Available courses

La mécanique des fluides est une branche de la physique qui étudie le comportement des fluides (liquides et gaz) en mouvement ou au repos. Elle analyse les effets des forces et des pressions sur les fluides, ainsi que les interactions entre les fluides et les surfaces solides.

Elle se divise en deux grands domaines :

  • La statique des fluides (ou hydrostatique), qui s’intéresse aux fluides au repos.

  • La dynamique des fluides, qui étudie les fluides en mouvement (écoulements).

La mécanique des fluides est essentielle dans de nombreux domaines : génie civil (barrages, canalisations), aéronautique (portance des ailes), médecine (circulation sanguine), ou encore dans les énergies renouvelables (hydraulique, éolien).

Elle repose sur des équations fondamentales comme celle de Navier-Stokes, qui exprime la conservation de la quantité de mouvement dans un fluide
